So can you see how easy it is to confuse them and to get one in the wrong place? Well, it's happened, my friends. And it's only an issue if you're doing that procedure where on the ground you lift the landing gear handle and that that pin needs to be in the right place. Over on the right side of your screen now, you're going to see a nose landing gear downlock pin incorrectly installed in the Apex Pinboard. How do I know that's a nose landing gear pin. This big red and yellow flag that's attached to it. See it on both sides? Red, big long red flag. It's always on the gear pins and there are three gear pins all together. There's the two for the main mounts and there's a one for the nose gear. What was the fixed? Boing actually addressed this back in 2019 before that 2021 BA crap or collapsed. What happened with BA? I'll explain. Back in 2019, there was an airworthiness directive that was put out and it was airworthiness directive uh 2019-23-07. It was put out basically saying, pay attention to this. We're we're the here's the fix. We're going to but we're going to give you 36 months to install the fix. The fix is they took that Apex pinboard and they just put a permanent pin in it so that you couldn't by mistake put the landing gear pin in that other slot. So they put a permanent pin in, but they took 36 months to roll that out. It wasn't like overnight. So basically the airlines had three years to put in the modification to the airplane. British Airways on that 787 that collapsed onto its nose gear in 2021 had not done the modification yet. They're up in the cockpit going through the procedure and they lift the gear and everybody's shocked when the whole thing collapses. Was this a mistake? Yeah, clearly it was a mistake. Did they double check to make sure that the pin gear was installed? Most likely they did it. It's part of the procedure on the checklist, but was it installed in the wrong place? Could have been?
