Here are some nontraditional things that we are doing at our wedding that I actually think are nontraditional as someone who is very anti-wedding culture. We're doing a destination wedding in the UK because my fiancee is from the UK. So we will be doing a weekend where everyone will stay Friday and Saturday. And the biggest thing to me is making sure everyone just has a fun weekend together. Everyone will be staying at the venue, so it's going to be a lot of fun. I'm not doing Bridesmaid or a bachelorette party. I'm not doing a bridal shower. I'm not doing any other wedding festivities besides the actual wedding. I think asking people to try for my wedding and then asking them to do literally anything else is a little bit crazy. So instead of doing any other wedding events, I'm just having the wedding weekends and if people can't come, I also completely understand there are no hard feelings, but I want everyone who can't come to make sure that they have a really good two-day. We are not doing a videographer, but we will be having disposable cameras and camcorders laying around and we will be asking everyone to vlog the experience. I've been on social media for quite some time, so I'm just going to take all the footage and either send it off to an editor or edit Yes. The morning of the wedding, we're going to have a coffee cart come and we're going to have lottes, coffee, pastries, breakfast, and we're just going to have it together before the wedding, so people will be seeing me the day of or the morning before the wedding. This is common in the UK, but this is not common for American weddings. The wedding is actually going to be pretty early. It's going to be around like 1:30 or 2:00. Already all be together and I don't want to have people just waiting around, waiting for the wedding to happen at like 5:00 or 6:00, which I feel like it's common for American weddings. I don't think my fiance and I are going to have a first dance on one dances. We both find it a little bit awkward, so we might not do that. It's still to be determined, but we're leaning towards no dances, but we definitely will have a DJ. The wedding is in the UK, but it is a few hours outside of London, so for all of my friends and any of his friends that are in London or traveling to London, we will have a shuttle that takes you from London to the wedding venue, just so that no one else has to plan logistics just because we decided to do a destination wedding. It's going to be super small. I have around 50 people or less there, and we're just trying to make it as fun of an experience for both of us and our friends. and family that are taking the time to actually travel and just making sure that they have the most fun weekend possible.
