No one talks about how going to a destination wedding as a guest in your mid to late 20s as a single person is literally like reliving freshman year of college, summer camp. And since you're grown up, it's also like you're in a reality T V. Show. I just came back from my first destination wedding ever, and this is also my first wedding where I was a guest and not in the bridal party. Since I went solo, I didn't really know many people there besides, like, the bride and the groom and several people in the bridal party. The wedding was at a castle in Ireland, and there was a castle, and then there were, like, a bunch of lodges for other guests, and there was one lodge for all the single girlies and the gays and one lodge for the single boys. We called them the Villas. And this was a Marathon wedding. Like, it was four days and three nights, and the drama that ensued, like, there were multiple different plot lines. And I have nobody to talk about this with because none of my friends, like, no one that I know also knows these people. So it's a very, like, isolated, interesting experience. Forgot to add that this castle is on a private island that you can only access by ferry. So basically, you're stuck on a private island with everyone who's just in the wedding, like, attending the wedding for four days, but it was also low key White Lotus vibes. It was very much, very much a time. Also say if you ever have a chance to attend a destination wedding, go drop everything you have to be there.
