Not everyone in tech needs to love or enjoy coding

Not everyone in tech needs to love or enjoy coding. Can I admit something that feels somewhat controversial? I find coding very boring. Hold on. The funny thing is, I genuinely admire people who can code very well. Like, what do you mean you can build something from scratch? I think software engineers are incredibly talented and I love seeing what people create. But every time I have tried to get very deep into coding, I quickly realized that it just does not stimulate my brain going. I find it so boring. That is not to say I don't know how to. Because in cybersecurity and the areas that I'm interested in, I have to know some things. I have to know how to write partial scripts or bash scripts and some Python, you know. But I'm not deeply into software engineering. Now, what I really enjoy is understanding systems. I enjoy figuring out how things work, investigating things. And I also enjoy working and interacting with people and translating technical concepts into things that others can understand. And I would say that's why I ended up in cybersecurity, to be honest. Because the area I'm in is basically, or more like, understanding, securing, investigating, and improving systems rather than building applications from scratch. And I would say that's very important to note because people out here might think that there's only one path to take where you gotta learn how to code, become a developer, build an app, and all of that. So for any beginner out there, tech is much bigger than that. Some love building products, some love securing them. Some love designing things, some love investigating things. While others love working with people where you translate technical stuff into business decisions. That being said, don't force yourself into the part of tech that you're just not curious enough to stick to. Find something that you'll enjoy, something that you can work on and will keep you going.
