if you don’t like coding, don’t become a software engineer you should not if you don’t like coding computer science particularly software is really similar to medicine in the sense that you are not truly passionate about what you’re going you’re going to be miserable for the rest of your life mean realistically who truly is passionate about their job nowadays, right? but software engineering is one of so mentally draining if you are not at all at all truly interested in what you’re doing and with the new age of AI knowing how to code is going to become less and less important and knowing how to design is going to become more more important designing systems requires a lot of logical thinking and problem solving. and problem solving is a skill that it’s not it’s not something like you can just wake up wake up one day and know how at least for most at least for most people there are so many there are so many people that go into or even or even software engineering thinking that they can do they can get over the fact that they don’t really like coding and they get to and they are absolutely miserable now the upside to pursuing a computer not particularly software is that it opens is that it opens the door to technological roles but I can tell the amount of people that go into software engineering and end up leaving within a year is and end up leaving within a year is actually crazy the pipeline the pipeline from software to being a venture capitalist or product manager is kind of the more good there’s no denying but so what do you no longer sacrifice your mental health
