One thing I refuse to do is pay $900 for this thing and not get my money back. So here's everything I'm getting for free on a two-week trip to New York, courtesy of my friends at Amex. The first thing is a free round trip from MCO to JFK. Technically it wasn't free, but it didn't cost me any money, so we're going to girl math it because I booked it with Amex points. I'm also getting a free checked bag thanks to my $200 airline credit that is used to cover any additional things that you pay for that are not airfare. You can use it for food and drinks on the plane or even a checked bag. I also had a beautiful $300 hotel credit that covered one night at a hotel in New York City. The next thing I got is a free Clear membership to skip all the lines at the airport. I didn't think this was necessary until I started to travel to busy airports and yeah. Also, all the time that I'm saving going through security, I can go chill at the Amex lounge where I can eat and drink for free while I wait for my flight. And last but not least, I also get access to Uber One for free so that I can get better and cheaper Ubers while I travel. Now, I think that the $900 are worth it, but let me know what you think.
