As someone that works in the VC and angel investment space, here are two things investors care about when they talk to early stage founders right now. The first is defensibility. So why can't someone just copy what you're doing in six months time? Investors want to know your unfair advantage, and be that proprietary data, a distribution channel that no one else has, domain expertise, whatever it is, you need to name it clearly. The second is commercial validation, which essentially means evidence that real people will pay for what you're building. It could be pre-orders, letters of intent, paying pilots, basically, has anyone voted with their wallet yet? And if no, what is the closest thing that? Neither of these are new concepts, but I think in the context of, it's never been easier, cheaper, or faster to build these matter more than ever. So let me know if you have any questions or you want me to go deeper into any of those.
