I just need to let you know that I'll be on holiday for 3 weeks next month so it's best if we can schedule your next appointment right now. But you're a nail tech. Yeah, so. Your clients need you, you can just leave for 3 weeks. What am I going to do? I do nails. Everyone will survive 3 weeks without me. And if I can't fit you in right before I go, you can go elsewhere, it's alright. But what if you come back and all your clientele has been to another nail tech and they don't come back? That's an irrational fear. I've done this multiple times and maybe I've lost one or two people, but nothing major. And if that's truly the case, then none of these people were loyal to me. Maybe because I'm not good enough or something. So I may actually consider if this job is even for me. I just think if I try someone else and I like them as well, I'll just go to them again because I don't want you to do this to me again. That's fine, I'm not forcing you to come back. But I also won't deprive myself of a holiday because I'm scared that everyone will be like you. Well, yeah, but people in normal jobs don't take such long holidays. Maybe like a week, 10 days. But three weeks is crazy. Thank God I don't have a normal job. Then I wanted this career because of the flexibility it gives. So not taking advantage of it is just weird. I don't have to ask anyone for permission but myself. Fine, I'm just letting you know that I won't come back. Thanks for letting me know and I'm letting you know that I'm going anyway. So if you can't be happy for me, then I genuinely don't want you as a client. So don't even try to book again.
