What do you make for the girl who loves matcha and sushi? A giant matcha tiramisu, of course. 💚 No raw egg yolks here, just layers of matcha-soaked ladyfingers, silky mascarpone cream, and plenty of matcha dusted on top. Needless to say, Lorenne was obsessed. 14-INCH MATCHA TIRAMISU CAKE Serves a crowd For the matcha soak: * 63 ladyfingers * ¼ cup matcha powder * ⅓ cup sugar * 2 cups hot water For the cream filling: * 4 cups heavy whipping cream * 1 cup powdered sugar * 16 ounces mascarpone cheese * 1 tablespoon vanilla bean paste For the topping: * About ⅓ cup matcha powder for dusting Instructions Whisk together the matcha powder, sugar, and hot water until smooth. Set aside to cool. Whip the heavy cream and powdered sugar until medium-stiff peaks form. In a separate bowl, mix the mascarpone and vanilla until smooth. Fold into the whipped cream in two additions. Dip the ladyfingers into the cooled matcha mixture and arrange in an even layer. Spread half the cream on top. Repeat with another layer of ladyfingers and finish with the remaining cream. Smooth the top, refrigerate for at least 6 hours or overnight, then dust generously with matcha before serving. We used letter stencils to create a giant “25” across the top before dusting with matcha. It was quite the challenge, but thanks to my friend Maayan, we pulled it off perfectly. 9x13-INCH VERSION For the matcha soak: * 16 ladyfingers * 1 tablespoon matcha powder * 1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon sugar * ½ cup hot water For the cream filling: * 1 cup heavy whipping cream * ¼ cup powdered sugar * 4 ounces mascarpone cheese * 1 teaspoon vanilla bean paste For the topping: * 2 tablespoons matcha powder for dusting Prepare and assemble exactly as directed above using two layers of ladyfingers and two layers of cream. The perfect ending to an unforgettable evening. 💚 #sivanskitchen #matcha #tiramisu #birthday #matchatiramisu
