I want to show you exactly how to take the skills that you use every day as a social worker and turn them into a consulting offer. Because I want to make sure that the path is clear for anybody who might be watching this. So let's just say, for example, you're an addictions counselor. So you're excellent at helping people maintain sobriety. I mean, you know how to show up. You know exactly what to say when someone's about to relapse. I mean, you know how to do this job. You're excellent at it. You've been doing it for years. Okay? So here's the shift that you make. So when you take those same skills into a consulting context, you're not just thinking about the individual anymore. So now you're starting to think about what the organization that provides services to that individual needs. So a treatment center, for example, they want their clients to maintain sobriety. And of course, they want that because they want the best possible outcome for their patient. But they also need to maintain strong outcomes so that they can keep their funding, they can maintain their accreditation, and keep morale among staff high. And this is exactly where you start building your consulting offer. So in this case, your consulting offer might look like a staff training on relapse prevention, where you're teaching the clinical staff all of the different techniques and interventions that you yourself have been using and been successful with over the years. It could also be a workshop on client engagement because you already know exactly how to keep the clients engaged. It could be an organizational assessment that helps them figure out exactly why they are losing key staff members. And again here, the skill skills are identical, but what changes is the way that they are delivered. So instead of using them for the individual that's in front of you, you're using them to solve a problem that the organization is paying you to fix. And again, it's the same expertise, just provided in a different container for a different price. And in that same expertise can also become a private coaching offer for individuals who are looking to maintain sobriety outside of the traditional insurance. So again, we have two tracks here, all coming from the same skills, just provided differently. And here's why this works so well for social workers in any category, honestly. It's because we're already working inside these organizations. We know the problems that they have because we work inside the problems all the time. And then even more importantly, we are hearing directly from the clients who are telling us exactly what needs to be fixed. And this is something that no outside consultant has. I mean, we have a level of proximity to our clients that no outside consulting can replicate. And when you build a consulting offer from your skills, this is how you turn those skills into something that an organization will pay you something that an organization will pay you for. Now, if you're interested in building out your consulting offer over five days with me and a group of social workers who are all looking to take their careers to the next level, the link is in my bio.
