Dostoevsky's not very good. That's an actual statement I heard from a creator on here. Granted, she was young. Quite young. And the video proceeds to not say anything about why she doesn't like Dostoevsky, just that she didn't like it. No why. And in the comments, a lot of people were like, well, well you don't understand it. And her very insightful response was, I've studied philosophy and I understood it. To an old head that also has degrees that don't mean shit. Cause guess what, I was like 26 in grad school reading Dostoevsky for like a second time and I also didn't like it. And there was one reason I didn't like it. I didn't understand it. So let's be so for real, honey. Just say you don't get it. That's okay. I know that a lot of people think that just because they have an education and they studied philosophy that they are just like the expert on the human condition. I think you have a lot of learning to do. Listen, if you didn't like Dostoevsky, that's fine. Totally fine. But if you can't even articulate the reason why, I'm going to tell you why. It's because you didn't understand it. I think a lot of it went over your head. I think you need to reread when you turn 30. Um and that seems like a solid 10 years away. When you're ready, we're here waiting to discuss real reasons why you didn't like it.
