I have been waiting for months for this book to come out. For I share with the book is this is what compelled me to run to pre-order it. A video came up on my for you page a while ago. It was a girl standing in the desert talking about vampires. And immediately I was like, girl, tell me more. It didn't feel like a pitch, but I could feel her passion about the subject matter and her passion about the story, which indicated to me that she put a lot of time and effort into crafting a story that felt real. Something about the way that she conveyed this passion made me so interested and made me immediately run to pre-order the book. The book is The Flayed Man by Chloe Lauter. I want to keep on saying Lauter. It's not Lauter, it's Lauer. Girl, this book looks so good. Like, I'm not even just talking about the content, like the actual book looks fire. I love the cover. I love everything about it. And I love that there is a Paul Tremblay on it. Girl, you got Paul Tremblay to read your book? I love him. He said, a hallucinatory vampire noir. This one will stick with you. I believe you. And I'm so excited to read this because Paul Tremblay wrote one of my favorite horror books called A Head Full of Ghosts and that book has stuck with me for years. So if he thinks this one's gonna stick with me, I believe him. I'm so excited to read your book. Anybody else free order this? What are your thoughts? No spoilers.
