when someone is committed to misunderstanding you

I don't care what you say. You can tell when somebody is committed to misunderstanding you. And some of you guys are acting like you just can't. I don't care what you say. You can tell when somebody is committed to misunderstanding you. And some of you guys are acting like you just can't. Before we even get into this, let's level set. So, this is not about people not being able to disagree with you. That's not what we're talking about here. And if you don't agree with that, if you would disagree with what I'm saying over here, you probably cycle through friends very quickly. And very often. But when somebody is making a choice to constantly misunderstand you, stick their flag somewhere and be like, I'm not moving from here. You can tell that that person is not somebody that you want to be around. So let's break it down. First of all, everything's gonna feel like a fight because it's probably gonna end in a fight because that is the program that this person is running. They are not listening because they want to repair. They're listening because they just want to be reactive and they want to keep this cycle going and going and going. This is also the type of person that's constantly going to be playing devil's advocate. Side note, like is my number one go-to when my sister and I are fighting, it pisses her off. They're all over the place. But they're always going to play devil's advocate. Even when it makes no fucking sense. They're also always waiting for you to say the wrong thing. Just to be like, Hmm. See, bitch. And this I want to make so abundantly clear. No matter what you do or how clearly you explain yourself or defend yourself or whatever, the goal post is going to move. Somebody that is committed to not understanding you has already made up their mind about what they think about you. And in their head, they are right forever. So stop wasting your breath. Stop over explaining yourself. Stop trying to continue on in this cycle because it's never going to change because all they care about is winning the game. It is not worth your time. And these people are so goddamn annoying.
