Nothing beats a plate of homemade pollo guisado with white rice 🤍 Simple ingredients, lots of flavor, and a meal the whole family enjoys. 🍗 Pollo Guisado (Stewed Chicken) Ingredients * About 2 lbs chicken * 2 Goya Chicken Bouillon packets * Cumin, to taste * Salt, to taste * Black pepper, to taste * Garlic powder, to taste * Olive oil * ½ onion, chopped * 1 green bell pepper, chopped * 1 tomato, chopped * 2 potatoes, peeled and cubed * 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce * 1 cup water * Adobo seasoning, to taste * Fresh cilantro, chopped Instructions 1. Season the chicken with 1 Goya Chicken Bouillon packet, cumin, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Mix well and let marinate for about 30 minutes. 2. Peel and cube the potatoes. Place them in cold water while you prepare the remaining ingredients. 3. Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the onion, green bell pepper, and tomato. Sauté until softened and fragrant. 4. Add the chicken and sear for about 5 minutes. Flip and cook for another 5 minutes on the other side. 5. Add the tomato sauce, potatoes, water, the second Goya Chicken Bouillon packet, and a little adobo seasoning. Stir everything together. 6. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to medium-low. Cover and let simmer for about 25 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the chicken is fully cooked. 7.
