San Francisco rent prices are going crazy right now. Thank God I love my apartment because I am not moving unless I absolutely have to. San Francisco rent prices have gone absolutely crazy because of the AI bubble. These, you know, young 20-year-olds are coming in with these huge job offers from like OpenAI, Anthropic. They're making $600, $700,000. They're 23 years old. We love that for them. Great. But then they're jacking up the rent prices. So, just for an example, I rented my two-bed, one-bath in prime location. I love my neighborhood. I love my area. I love my apartment for 4.6k last March. So March of 2025. And now, and now, a studio in my building, mind you, it is a very big, spacious, nice studio, but still, it's a studio, got rented for 4.5. No washer and dryer in unit, and I have washer and dryer in unit, thank goodness. But yeah, crazy. And then this other one-bedroom apartment got rented for 5.7. And then there was a bidding war and it got rented for like 6.2, one-bed, one-bath. Like, that's actually so crazy. Thank goodness my apartment is also rent-controlled, so it can only go up like maximum 2% per year. And it goes month to month. So I actually just went month to month not too long ago and it increased by like $100 a month, which is like nothing. But yeah, so crazy. I just hear all these horror stories online and through other friends of friends that, you know, like two-bed, two-baths are easily going for like $8,000 and I'm paying 4.7 in a beautiful, amazing apartment. So I'm just so, so, so thankful. Yeah, a lot of bidding wars and just also just a lack of demand because all a lot of the jobs also too that were hybrid or like a little bit more flexible remote, they're all also coming back in person. So, yeah, I mean they're moving.
