Okay, everybody's talking about the crazy rent prices in San Francisco right now, so I figured we'd play a game. I'm going to show you active current listings that are posted online that people can rent out and we're going to guess the price together and we're going to talk about the crazy prices. Okay, so first up, we have this one bed, one bath in Haight Ashbury neighborhood, 400 square feet for $4,525. Yes, they have the audacity to add $25 at the end because $4,500 for this shoebox of a place was not enough. You're paying over $100 per square foot. Like, this is absolutely insanity. We have this two bed, one bath, not even 800 square feet, 754 square feet, $9,000 a month in rent for a ground floor unit. A ground floor unit. Like, somebody could break in. You literally see this car that's parked right outside your door is like ground level. Like, you're going to see hear so much honking in the bedroom, you're going to see hear so much like street noise, like, you could even I feel like somebody would have to pay me $1,000 a month just to live here. Like, crazy. If anybody lives ground floor in a unit right now, feel free to correct me wrong. Like, if it's not as bad as I think it would be, like, please enlighten me. All right, next up we have this apartment, still with on the same theme, different neighborhood though. One bed, one bath, just under 500 550 square feet, at 539 square feet for a whopping $5,400 a month for this. All right. Backing up the boat now. Now we have this studio, so not even a bedroom, one bath, not even 400 square feet, and it is $4,000 a month. Incredible. All right, here we have another studio. This one is bigger at 407 square feet, but you are paying for the square footage, obviously. This one is $4,145 a month. And again, I feel like this is very ground level because you can see the cars the car tires from outside your windows. I mean, I don't even want to talk about it. I feel like there's a reason why this is the only photo in the listing. Again, so you can't even see what the actual unit looks like. I'm guessing it's probably pretty run down. Three bed, two bath, 1,074 square feet, $9,995 a month in rent. Again, for this. All right. I mean, I have no words. Four bed, three bath, 2,110 square feet for a whopping $21,000 a month. I am just really curious who would even rent this. Like, I guess roommates, but then at the same time too, like, at that price point, why would everybody just choose to live by themselves? If it was a family or a couple living here, why wouldn't you get a mortgage? Like, I would so much rather buy a smaller place and then pay a lot less in rent a month. $21,000. Like, people in America make this almost annually, a year, let alone like most people's cars that they drive around are less expensive than this person's rent for a month. All right. Now we have this two bed, one bath, 930 square feet. Again, $8,365, so almost $8,400 a month. Mind you, this unit looks nice. I will give it that. But again, never, ever, ever would I pay that. One bed, one bath, 841 square feet. So this is very comparable to that my current size of my two bed, two bath. Again, I pay $4,600 in Alamo Square Park. This is $7,575 a month for one bed, one bath. But still, I also like space, so I probably would choose this one over the last the first unit that I just showed you at 400 square feet. Okay, next up we have this one, still in the Duboce area, two bed, one bath again. This one is a bigger, this is the biggest square footage apartment we've seen at 1,015 square feet. And this is a whopping almost $9,000 a month. $9,000 a month. $8,830. And that's probably definitely not including utilities, amenities, etc. So again, if I was splitting this with a roommate, per roommate, it's still $4,415 and you don't even have your own bathroom, which is insane.
