You're paying too much to get new customers on meta. I'm gonna show you how to get them for 20% less in the next 30 seconds for free. Which sounds too good to be true, but we do this for brands everyday and the secret is just better tracking. So this business was spending around $90 to get a new customer. They wanted to scale but they couldn't because their CAC was too high. But something didn't make sense. Most of this brand's revenue came from meta ads, but whenever the brand would compare their Shopify sales to their meta sales, meta was always missing like half the revenue and half the orders. They couldn't tell if Shopify was right or Meta was right, so they were kind of just stuck and they didn't know what to do or if they could actually justify spending more money on ads. This is exactly what happens when you use third party tools like the Facebook channel app in Shopify to measure conversions. And it's also what makes your cost per acquisition so high. Long story short, the meta pixel has to use third party cookies to try and track your users and figure out if they bought something. And unfortunately Safari no longer allows them to use those cookies and so they get restricted. That's why half your customers never get sent back to meta, meta doesn't know which ads are actually driving sales, and so they start spending more of your money to find customers and your CAC goes up. If you want to get you customers cheaper, you need to track your customers differently. This brand cut their CAC in half by switching from third party cookie tracking to first party cookie tracking. Instead of letting the meta pixel place cookies on users, they started placing cookies on users that they owned using their own tracking server. Basically, since they Safari would look at who was tracking people on the website. And it wasn't facebook.com anymore. It was the brand's website, so it let the brand track users longer and send more data back to Facebook. Because meta was getting more data, it could see which ads were actually driving the most sales, where customers were coming from, and most importantly, what it cost to actually get a customer from ads. So fast forward to June. This brand is now spending around $47 to acquire a customer, while the channel app, which we kept running in the background, still thinks it costs $106 per customer. It's kind of a two parter, when you start sending more data back to meta, one, you can see what it actually costs to get a customer, so you can budget appropriately and scale up faster. And two, when you start telling meta who all your customers are, not just half of them, it gets way easier for them to find you customers, so your customers get cheaper. So like I said at the start of this video, you are paying too much to get customers on meta right now, and it should be at least 15% less. And if you want the same setup as the brand I showed you throughout this video, just DM me or go to our website and you can get it setup for Shopify in literally five minutes.
