If you're getting ready to spend a lot of money on ads in 2026, I just wanna let you know that the number one way you can guarantee you're gonna ruin your performance is if you rely on the meta pixel. This right here is a screenshot that shows the difference between trying to track purchases with the meta pixel on the right, versus doing it with a proper tracking setup on the left. And that is exactly what leads to you drastically under reporting how many results your ads get. And it's what keeps your ad platforms from actually getting you more customers because they don't know who the fuck converts. Without getting too technical, basically what the meta pixel is, it's a third party cookie. So whenever somebody clicks on an ad and lands on your website, Facebook makes a request to your website and wants to know what are they doing on the site, right? So they can track results. The problem is, they're not you, so they're third party. And Safari blocks them, because Safari is trying to protect your customers. That's what their job is. So the results of that is like this screenshot where you end up under reporting purchases by tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars. Because Facebook, TikTok and Google, wherever you run ads, cannot track the people that land on your site from ads. And it makes their job way harder. And it makes your job way harder too.
