The companies that you thought were too big to fail are failing. Accenture, the massive consulting firm, just lost half its value this year because of A.I. And this is important because Accenture was supposed to be untouchable, too big to fail. And if such a giant, stable, old legacy company can lose half its value in just six months, then anything can happen. Let me just put this into perspective for a second. Accenture employs over 700,000 employees around the world. That's a single company bigger than the population of most cities. They pull in over $60 billion advising some of the largest companies in the world, the Fortune 500s. This is one of the most powerful companies to ever exist, and their value has gone down by 50% in the last six months. Now, here's the trap they're in. It's called the advisors paradox. Accenture's entire business is sending in armies of consultants to these Fortune 500 companies. Hundreds of people getting paid to roll out and implement new technology. Now that same technology is replacing them. So who's doing the work instead? It's this new kind of role called the forward deployed engineer. Instead of sending an army, these A.I. Companies send a handful of highly specialised engineers that embed inside your company and solve the problems from the inside. And they build the solution directly. What used to take hundreds of consultants in a full year now takes five engineers in a week. Accenture is basically advising their companies on how to use fewer advisors. This is happening quickly, and I expect we'll see more of this trend in the coming months. Follow to learn more.
