An early investor in Uber just named a job that nobody's ever heard of, and I think he's completely right about it. So if you're good at operations and process, you're holding a skill set that just became the most valuable thing at any company. This comes from Jason Calacanis. He was an angel investor in Uber and put in $25,000 that became $100 million. He also invested in Robinhood, Calm and over 100 other companies that you've heard of. Along with David Sachs, who is a prominent Silicon Valley investor, they host the all in podcast, where they talk about things like A.I. And the future of jobs. And when both of them agree on something, it's time to pay attention. So stick around till the end. Sachs adds an additional layer that I think provides some valuable context. So here's the exact quote from Jason Calacanis. The job people are not seeing, but I'm seeing right now is the person who creates, manages, and is the maestro of the agents. The person who can take the business process, explain it, and train the agent to do it. Now, he called it the Agent Maestro. This is not a developer job, and you do not need to know how to code, but you do need to understand how a business actually works. You have to look at a workflow based on its different component parts and be able to break it down. For an agent to understand and interpret you could teach the agent to break it down to its constraints and guardrails and then go execute it on its own. So think about what that means for a second. Someone in finance can train an agent to handle the invoice, the reconciliation, the expense reports. Someone in customer success can train an agent to handle tier 1 support. And someone in operations can build an entire team of agents to talk to each other. Now, here's what David Sachs added, which I think is the deeper insight. With any new technology, every company faces a massive change management problem, which means that most organisations are really bad at adopting new technology. The person who can lead that adaptation and translate this new technology into work flows that the company actually uses, this is the person who will be able to build an extraordinary career. Every single company in the future is gonna have dozens, if not hundreds of agents running in every single department. Finance, legal, H R, operations. And at the end of the day, someone has to design them, they have to train them like you would train an employee. And they have to catch their mistakes and iterate on their performance. And that person is not a developer, that is a person who understands A I. So if you're good at operations, if you're very organised, this might be the future career for you.
