Apple does not want you building apps with AI

This week Apple started quietly blocking all the AI vibe coding apps from the App Store without a warning. This matters to you if you are building apps with AI or just using them. Vibe coding lets anyone use AI to build software of their own with simple English language. It was supposed to let anyone build software, but Apple has just put a wall in front of that. Apps like Replit and Vibe Code let anyone build software with simple English language. You literally describe what you want and it builds it for you in seconds. You can say make me a habit tracker with a calendar and it will produce that for you perfectly in seconds. But this week Apple started blocking updates for these platforms. The reason is that Apple says the App Store cannot allow any software to make updates to existing apps after they've already been approved on the App Store. If your app can build other apps on top of it, that is a violation of the App Store policy. But these apps have been on the App Store for months. Apple did not change the rule, they just started enforcing it without a prior notice. Now, here's the key part. Apple said these developers could stay on the App Store if they stopped letting people build apps for iPhones. Think about that for a second.
