if you've been around for a while, then you know video editing is my absolute favourite and honestly, the main reason I post on TikTok in the first place. So I'm starting a new series where I'll be sharing my favourite systems, editing tips, and everything that goes into a well produced video. Today's lesson: content organization 101 PART ONE the folder system PART TWO the masterdoc I have personally been victimized by the "Your storage is full" notification one too many times while filming, so I store all of my footage on my computer instead of leaving everything in my camera roll. (I have one main folder to create storage that's organized into categories like food, shopping, tech, home, and other things I film. The reason I do this is simple: if I need a grocery store clip for a video and the footage I filmed this week, I can pull something from my archive in seconds instead of digging through thousands of photos and videos. The second thing I use is what I call my content masterdoc. It's where I keep track of video ideas, write scripts, plan upcoming content, and monitor what stage each video is in. These two systems help me spend less time searching for footage and figuring out what to post, and more time actually producing content - which is what I love to do. That's it for lesson one.
