This is day two of trying to catch and cook. Today I'm fishing with this bright yellow lure, hoping to catch something I can eat. And to my surprise, on my very first cast, I got a bite. Whatever I hooked was fighting pretty hard, but as it got closer, I realized there was an even bigger fish one chasing the one I hooked. Oh, dude, there's a bass chasing whatever I hooked there. Dude, you're chasing the fish I hooked. I decided to cast it back out as bait. I sent it back out, hoping whatever was chasing it would come back to eat it. Now all I could do is wait. My initial game plan was kind of out the window because I do not eat striped bass. After waiting a while, I was really surprised that no hungry striped bass came and ate this mackerel. Day two of the challenge is done, and I still haven't eaten any fish. I guess I could have used this mackerel, but I decided to cut it up and use it as bait. Why? Because I do not eat striped bass.
