I've been dying my locs now y'all, for like three freaking years. And everybody has the same question. How the hell are my locs still on my head and not falling off the bone? So I want to put y'all on some tips and tricks on how I take care of my dyed locs. Let's get into it. Starting off, y'all know I was literally blonde for like, almost 3 years, okay? And while I was blonde, I would only bleach my hair once a year. Yes, you heard me, right? I always had by the time that the next dye session came, I had like 4 inches of new growth. Over processing your hair and bleaching too often is really what does the damage. Okay, with that said, once you do process your hair, you're still processing your hair. I mean, yes, dying and bleaching your hair is always gonna do some type of damage, even if you have locs or not. Because of that, you need to be caring and loving on your hair. When I tell you, I mist my hair every single day, baby, I mist my hair every single day. Okay. I always go in with a water, a rose water, and then I seal it in like two to three days out the week with an oil. This keeps my locs moisturised and not doing too much. Last tip I really say is just keeping your styles very natural, meaning not high tension styles. In all The time. As y'all know I literally wear my locs at the bussdown 24/7, which has limited my breakage. So yeah, don't be too scared to dye your hair, please.
