And final thing, you want to get soft bristles. The softer the bristles, the nicer the paint's gonna go on. Alright, let's go paint. My tripod only goes so tall. This is the best angle you're gonna get. So basically, the technique I've always been taught is you put the paint on, and then you push it up and glide. In my opinion, it's always easiest to go across your dominant hand. Less is more. You can always put on more, but you can't take it off. So I start low, and we bring it up and glide until it just touches the edge. See? Just like that. And then I always clean myself here. When I'm cutting in, I personally go pretty heavy because I just don't want the roller getting too close to the ceiling. I've touched the ceiling too many times and ruined a project. I also go pretty heavy here on the corners too. So I know the lighting's but cheeks move on. Start at the bottom, go on an angle, bring it in, girl. And then we clean up. Now to be clear, there is absolutely no shame in using tape. My advice: high quality paint, cut in heavy, and always get your roller before the cutting dries. Don't leave it for the next day.
