Over the course of a decade, he single handedly built TempleOS from scratch, including its operating system kernel, compiler, programming language (HolyC), graphics system, shell, filesystem, and thousands of lines of documentation. What would normally require an entire engineering team, Terry built alone. During his struggle with schizophrenia, Terry came to believe the CIA was monitoring him. He would occasionally visit the agency’s public contact form and send messages based on those beliefs, creating some of the internet’s most surreal programming clips. This video is one of those moments. Beyond the memes, Terry Davis left behind one of the most ambitious solo software projects ever created.
