Despite battling schizophrenia, Terry Davis built an entire operating system from scratch. Most companies would need hundreds of engineers. Terry Davis once famously said, “I am the smartest programmer that’s ever lived.” It’s an extraordinary claim, but it’s also impossible to ignore what he accomplished. Over roughly a decade, Davis built TempleOS almost entirely by himself, including its operating system, programming language, compiler, graphics system, games, and development tools.
