Follow us @techlegendshq to continue learning about tech history! Even the creator of GNU/Linux thought installing it was a waste of time. Richard Stallman is one of the most influential programmers in computer science history. As the founder of the GNU Project and the free software movement, his work helped lay the foundation for modern GNU/Linux systems, open source software, cloud infrastructure, servers, and much of the internet itself. That’s why this quote surprises so many people. Stallman admitted he never learned how to install GNU/Linux because he never saw a reason to. If someone already knew how to do it, he’d simply ask them for help and spend his time on things he considered more important. It’s a reminder that great programmers don’t memorize everything or do everything themselves. Sometimes the most valuable skill isn’t knowing every technical detail, it’s knowing what matters and where to focus your time. #Tech #program #code #cis #cs
