It's July, it's a new month, so we have some new horror movies coming out. We have eight horror movies coming our way and so I'm going to break this up into two parts because we have a lot to talk about. First up is Lockbox. This one is about a woman who puts her life on the line to protect her troubled cousin who's been targeted and hunted by a powerful supernatural force. We can never have too many supernatural mystery movies and you can find this one in select theaters on July 3rd. Next up is Evil Dead Burn. This one takes place after the loss of her husband, a woman finds comfort with her in-laws. One by one, they start to transform into deadites and she discovers that the vows that she took in life survived even in death. This is one of my most anticipated movies of the month. I love the last two movies. I haven't seen the first three yet, but I plan on checking them out before this movie comes out. But if you're looking for a body horror, monster, psychological movie, you can find this one in theaters on July 10th. Next up is The Town That Takes. This one is about a desperate father whose son vanishes in a remote town. He and two other detectives must uncover the terrifying legend of Croatoan before another child is taken. This is a mystery thriller and I love movies that center around a legend because it just feels a little bit more realistic and that makes it so much creepier. You can find this one in select theaters on July 10th. Next up is The Bay. This one is about two best friends who attend a destination wedding in Thailand, only to find themselves trapped on a sinking boat in tiger shark territory. I swear this is the year of shark movies. We've had so many, but I do like the idea instead of this being a great white shark, like we've had so many, but I do like the idea of it being a great white shark because I think they are so cool. Right in time for Shark Week. You can find this one in select theaters and video on demand on July 17th.
