This one chair exercise will make getting out of chairs and out of bed so much easier. Hi, I'm Ryan, and I help seniors get stronger, leaner and moving better from home. No gym required. So if you want more training tips like this, make sure you follow me. First, find a chair that leans back but stays stable. A recliner works great or any chair with an angle. Sit all the way back so your core will have to do the work to lift you. Using only your stomach muscles, crunch up like going toward your knees, slow and controlled, then back down again slowly. That's where the real strength gets built. This isolates your stomach muscles without putting any strain on your back or your neck. Your core is what helps you stand up from a chair or roll out of bed in the morning. When it's weak, everything feels harder. So it's not just your legs, it's also your core. This move strengthens exactly what you need for those everyday movements. So save this so you can try it this week. Once that feels easy, grab a heavy book, place it on your chest and do the same move. Now your core has to work even harder. That's how you keep getting stronger without needing a gym or a bunch of fancy equipment. So that's how you strengthen your core so getting out of chairs and beds feels easier again. Save this so you can come back to it and share it with someone who's been struggling with this. Or comment core if you're going to try this today. Let's keep moving strong.
