Stable standing but unsteady walking? Here's the next step. Hi, I'm Ryan. I help seniors get stronger and move better from home. If you want more tips like this, then follow me. Try to hold that position standing in good. Recently I showed you the heel-to-toe balance in a corner. The best beginner stability exercise to rebuild your foundation. If you haven't tried that one yet, go back and start there. But if you've been doing that exercise and you're feeling stronger, then this is your next step. So comment "BALANCE" below if you're ready to level up. This progression is called heel-to-toe balance with a front weight shift. Start heel-to-toe. Take a slow, controlled step forward with the back foot, like you're walking on a tightrope. Pause for a second. Then move that foot back to the starting position, slow and controlled. That's one rep. That's one repetition. Do two to three reps, then switch sides. Start in the corner for support if you need it, but once you get stronger, move away from the walls and do it freestanding. Save this so you can come back to it. This exercise trains your body to shift your weight forward, which is what happens every time you take a step. The slower and more controlled you move, the more you're building strength, stability, and confidence in your walking. So that's how you take your balance to the next level and start walking with more confidence. Now share this with someone who's been working on their balance and is ready for the next step.
