Olandria could teach a masterclass on how to create a personal brand that has a somewhat messy and chaotic start. Not her fault, she was in a very messy season of reality TV, and turning it into a very aspirational, luxurious, high-end personal brand. Let's talk about it. One of the two main archetypes I see in Olandria is the queen. Her Queen archetype qualities: She has the effortless it girl energy or star quality that the queen feminine archetype has that you just can't touch. Olandria is confident, she's glamorous, and she effortlessly commands attention everywhere she goes. Her energy is regal. It's unbothered. She just overall is a real class act. Of course, she also has a strong connection to the lover feminine archetype. Her Lover archetype qualities: I mean, the Bama Barbie is so unbelievably gorgeous. Yes, but she also has effortless hot girl energy. She is charming. She really values looking good, dressing up, taking care of herself. She values beauty and all things aesthetically pleasing. So where do we see these archetypes in her personal brand? Since her season of Love Island ended first, she has excelled at taking the high road to escape the reality TV messiness that is often associated with stars that come from these dating shows. She has persisted with her vision of what she wants her career to look like post Love Island, and she's stuck to it. Factor 2: A clear creative vision (a Queen archetype strength, and her visual branding looks very Queen/Lover). I'm sure she has a team, but I also get the vibe from Olandria that she has strong creative visions. Whether she is doing a brand partnership or she's doing a photoshoot, or she's showing up to a public event, or she's doing a handbag collaboration like the one she did with, I believe, Brandon Blackwood. No detail is spared and the visions that she has just makes a lot of sense. Hello, she is the Bama Barbie and she went to Coachella as Barbie. That's genius. Also, Factor 3: Aspirational, glamorous style (that looks very Lover and Queen!!). Zendaya, a fellow Queen, does this too! Her glamorous, aspirational style has helped keep her relevant and top of mind, so she hasn't like faded into a relevance post Love Island. This woman turns looks. She is consistently one of the best dressed women at every event that she shows up to. Olandria is sexy, she is luxurious. She is a real feast for the eyes. Factor 4: Aspirational brand associations (helpful for any archetype, but extra beneficial for Queens). Associations with aspirational brands always helps to just lend you a little bit of additional credibility, and especially if you are trying to escape the image that can come with being a reality TV star. This is really important. Olandria partnering with Brandon Blackwood, Yves Saint Laurent, Sephora, also Barbie. Harper's Bazaar, Sports Illustrated. It just makes it so clear that she is above and beyond her start on reality TV. I am so excited to see what Olandria gets up to next. I really think the sky is the limit for her. And if you want to figure out how to use the strengths of your primary feminine archetypes in your personal brand, regardless of what you're using that personal brand for.
