Why can't you build generational businesses?

Why can't you build generational businesses? Because it was never in our vision. It was never in our vision. Even the way we do the business, some of us can't even, we can't, we can't afford to fall sick. Your business will take a, you can't afford to, you can't afford to just take a break. Everything is on you. Everything is, the, the, it's, some people think that it's when you get to certain level that you start now setting structure, setting things from the beginning that you incorporate your business. That is business name. Business name is basically you. There is not, it's not a company, because they will tax it as if they are taxing your personal income. Right. But when you register a limited, what that, that's what limited liability means. That means the liability is limited. The company can be sued independently. It's not you. And once you understand that, you know that you work for the business. You get salary from the business. Yeah. So you are a co-employee. That's why I put that balance that even when you are working in an organization, the goal is to ensure you to become a co-owner, because even in your own business, you are also an employee. It's just an African thing that makes you feel like, ah, I'm the owner, new dawn, all these oga oga boss, boss kind of thing. So, because we don't even understand that basics, is the reason why the business revolves around us. Wow. So your CMO, your marketing person can't make the decision. In fact, once you realize that there's a department, the one still making decisions for them and telling them what to do, it means that everybody in that department should be fired. Because I employed you, because now I can afford to pay you to take certain things off my plate. Yeah, yeah, true. Right. There are meetings that I can confidently tell my accountant that I'm not coming, and I can go and sleep knowing that she won't mess it up. There are many, there are many posts that you see online that I did not see. When you are reacting to it is when me I'm also reacting to it. We are both seeing it for the first time. So when people say they are dragging you, I don't know which content. Because sometimes I don't know. Right. They work independently. There are sometimes I read some posts and I'm like, ah, ah, ah, ah, easy, easy, easy. The way they, maybe the way they cap sometimes, I'm like, relax. There are some posts that if I had seen it, they would not have posted it. In fact, many people don't know that my video guy, my media guy, he likes trouble. So some, I wish I can show you our chat. That if anything, I can say, I give you, and I know the person will run it. Wow. I know, like I'm very confident. In fact, to show you how much, how confident I am, our project that we are doing in Ibadan, she's the one spearheading it. She meets with the investor, she writes to them, she does, my, she, she's the one that will speak to the lawyer, speak to the, I don't know. She coordinated, she, I just get, I'm telling you, because from the onset, yeah. It was clear to everybody, and this is the, you will say she's an employee, but I'm scared of her. Because if she sees that maybe we are doing something and she sees the budget, she will just send me, Mr. Ope, this cannot fly. Mm. She'll tell me point blank. That sometimes she will send me a mail, she will query me, in a mail, because we both, we all understand in the company that we are all employees. So when we understand that from the beginning, yeah, you start working, and so you start ask yourself, what exactly is my own primary strength? Then you know, what exactly is this person bringing to the table? What's this person bringing to, so we now know that we are all working together for a common goal. Yeah. Right. And then you can now, so this, I don't, I don't employ for the head of a department. Okay. So if you are the head of marketing department, you are the one that know the person you need. I can't employ for you. So you are the CEO of that department. These are the simple, simple structures that just grows into. So it's not that when you now, you feel like when you make your billions, that's when you now start to employ. No, no, no, no. Even as at then, when you employ them, you won't listen to them. Wow. You won't, because you've built, don't forget that, the business even built you. So you are learning a culture of being the one that calls all the shots. So if you like, go and pay PWC, you won't listen to them. Wow. Alright, so, are we getting something?
