These are 4 case studies I recommend having on your design portfolio in 2026 from a designer recruiter. Don't hate me for saying this, but you gotta have a B2B SaaS case study this day and age. So many of the companies that are currently hiring for designers are B2B SaaS companies. And so just make make a case study. Show a dashboard. We love to see it. Having a design system case study is also super helpful. Lots of roles are looking specifically for design systems or they want to see that you have experience in that area. I always think having some kind of mobile or consumer product on your portfolio is really helpful. Just show that you can flex across industries and for different kinds of users. And then finally, have one case study that emphasizes how you collaborate if you're a leader and you're looking for a leadership position, show how you kind of think through that process and what that looks like for you.
