If you're still unlocking your Samsung phone like this, you are doing it wrong. Most Samsung users don't even know this setting exists. Every single day people press the power button and wait for the screen to be awake, then use their fingerprints. That's an extra step you don't need. On your phone, go to settings, security and privacy, screen lock and biometrics, fingerprints. And turn on fingerprint always on. Now, watch this. Just touch the fingerprint sensor while the display is asleep and that's it.
