HEY, JOHNSON, THE NEW MANAGER YET? Got it down to two candidates. Well, who are they? Well, candidate number one has 12 years experience doing the exact job we're hiring for and they've outperformed their targets the last three years. Good. Uh, candidate number two has two years experience doing this work and they're kind of a middle of the road performer. Okay, but we haven't discussed my most important question. Do either of them have gaps in their resume? Two doesn't, but candidate number one took eight months off in 2021. Well, candidate number two, then done deal. Right, because gaps are inexcusable. Yeah, and no amount of exceeding or winning awards can make up for that. Yes, because what's best for not hiring someone who is good at what they do. It's hiring someone who magically avoided any career gap despite COVID, multiple recessions, a supply chain crisis, AI, the layoff epidemic, and having an actual life. Exactly. And we will never live to regret this decision.
