I gave my ex-boyfriend a $1000 to buy a car which is absolutely moronic. Part 1 of 7: Seven things I hate to admit. I told myself that at least he'd have have to drive him around anymore. Completely honest. I also didn't want him to leave me over a $1000. When you love someone, right? You help them. Getting that money back and I knew I wasn't getting it back because a grown a** man need to ask his 22 year old girlfriend for a $1000? I don't even remember. I just remember getting the call that it driving to pick him again and him asking for another $500 to fix it. And that $500 felt way bigger than the first a $1000. Because that's when it wasn't really about the money anymore. I called it love. But part of it was just not believing anyone would pick me if I stop being useful. If I stop being useful. Enough to keep giving respect me enough to stop asking? And I was figuring what to do for myself. Responsible booking. Responsible for fixing other people's problems? I'm not. And neither are you. As you get older, everyone has problems. All of your time fixing everyone else's, you'll never have time to fix your own. That's not to say don't help people. But if you notice with the same person over and over again, ask yourself this. Themselves. I'm helping them? And if the answer is no, a choice to make. Anyway, I hate to admit any of this. However, you probably have a friend that's a people pleaser. So send it to them. And come back for part 2.
