behavioral scientist
what would happen
if for the next 30
days you radically
accepted
yourself?
Well, baby, you're already in that cage.
You built it yourself.
I WILL NOT GET BETTER OUT OF SHAME
I WILL GET BETTER OUT OF LOVE
instead of growing
out of shame, you
decide to grow out
of love.
here's how
1. give yourself permission to be
"the curious paradox
is that when i accept
myself just as i am,
then i can change."
carl rogers
allow yourself to set
targets that you actually
meet.
For example, if i
constantly say "go to the
gym 5 days a week" but i
always end up going 3x, i
now choose to set the
target "go to the gym 3
days a week"
watch what happens to your
psyche & your behavior when you
let yourself act exactly as you are.
2. accept the ugly
as a self-aware person
you are probably very well
aware of your "negative"
patterns.
instead of shaming
yourself out of them,
accept them as truth &
you'll probably find the
comedy in it.
"i AM an idiot." TRUE!
anti-affirmations often work better than
positive affirmations because we begin to
realise how ridiculous they sound.
3. hold
space for all
your emotions
there's a battle between
what we know and what we feel.
there is no difference between "positive"
and "negative" emotions
stop trying to change how you feel and
become curious about what your
emptions are telling you.
Everything is beautiful when
you look at it with love.
I can be tender with myself.
I can be gentle with myself.
