Your goals get easier the less serious you make them look. Whimsical. And the ambitious whimsical multipassionate knows that silliness is the antidote to perfectionism and chronic procrastination. How to game. The Whimsy Curriculum, behavioral scientist. Week 13: silliness cures perfectionism. Firstly, overthinking. Journal prompts. Reason perfectionism doesn't work. It's a constant threat to your self-esteem and your belief, which means you're constantly operating in this tension. Whereas if you allow yourself to be playful and silly, you're opening up so much space to just laugh at yourself and enjoy what you're doing and bring in so much new creativity. Number two, set silly goals. Silly goals. This works so well especially if you're feeling some kind of mental block. For example, if you're a writer's block, set the silliest task for yourself. Like writing a letter to SpongeBob. Number three, break the script. Just go through the motions. Everything so serious, so tense. Say something crazy. Say something unhinged. Talk to someone normally. You wouldn't normally talk to. Take a new path. Don't know. Laugh at yourself. It's really not that serious. So, myself.
