yeah Mac is tough with excel. Wait until the end for my pick! accounting accountingmajor laptop accountingstudent accountant My accounting jobs I've used over 50 different laptops and a Mac is not one of them. The reason that is is that Mac can definitely handles Excel differently and it doesn't do well with large amounts of data. Need a machine that can handle a large amounts of data and that can work in Excel seamlessly. The student it doesn't matter as much because you probably only have one or two Excel courses and you can probably get by with a Mac. I used the MacBook Air when I went through college and I didn't run into any problems. Typically if you're working at a big four or a public accounting firm or even in corporate accounting, they typically provide you a laptop anyway. They do offer you a choice sometimes between a Mac and a PC. Go for the PC, don't go for the Mac. I know you probably have an iPhone, it'll work great with that, but it's not going to work great with the stuff that you're going to be doing on a day-to-day. I currently have a Lenovo Thinkpad and it works with Power Query. I've worked with over 60 million rows of data in Power Query. I've used things like Snowflake, all different types of things. Lenovo is my go-to when I have a choice for a computer. Tell me in the comments what laptop you're rocking with and if you do want more accounting advice, make sure that follow you like and comment. Peace.
