Don't do a masters in accounting in 2026 just to get CPA credits. Don't do a masters in accounting if it's because you feel underprepared for your job after getting an accounting degree. The main reason you should go get your masters is to reset your clock as a student. Public accounting firms love recruiting students, not fresh grads, not people who are two years out of college. They love recruiting students. If you go get your masters, you have the opportunity to go to these networking events and present yourself as a student. And you have the opportunity to have the resources from the school that put on these events that would not otherwise be available to you to go try to get recruited from.
