WGU for Accounting in 2026

I saw this video of this guy who got his Bachelors and his Masters and his CPA within six months of graduating from WGU. If you're doing online schooling, what's going to be important is your hustle to network. So you're going to have to go to networking events like ALPFA convention or NABA convention or your state society events. Those are things you're going to have to do on your own rather than having a structured way to do that if you went to like a normal university. They have accounting society events, Beta Alpha Psi, they have all these structured ways for you to get recruited to a public accounting firm where if you go to WGU, it's going to be increasingly difficult to do that. So you're going to have to do that on your own rather than having a structured way to do that. It's very cost effective to go to WGU, flexible, it works with your schedule. So there's a lot of pros, but the cons are that you may not have the same success that you would getting a job. So if you're talking about ROI, I think that's something you have to really figure out what is the plan you're going to put in place to make sure you have a job or internship by the time you graduate.
