I've been seeing this flock camera outside my house, but what even are these things and why should you care? Flock Safety is an AI surveillance company that not only tracks license plates but also people. I'm not even kidding, it's called Condor. Search it up, you are literally being monitored. Not to mention there's tons of documented cases of misused data, such as a Kansas police lieutenant using these AI cameras to stalk his ex-wife. There's also a class action lawsuit where federal agencies including ICE ran 1.6 million searches in the span of only seven months, which is illegal here in California. These things also aren't 100% accurate. In February, a flock camera misread a license plate and police held a random innocent couple at gunpoint with their six week old baby in the back seat.
