OK let's see. First off the former CEO this guy named Travis Kalanick is a weirdo. In India in 2014 an Uber driver raped a passenger and this guy as well as some other Uber executives illegally got access to the woman's medical information and made a fake story about how it was all a set up by Ola which is Uber's Indian rival company. Uber also used to have this tool called God Mode where employees could see a live map of every Uber driver their full identity and account history. An Uber manager used this to track a journalist who claimed Uber was sexist and there's many documented cases of employees stalking ex girlfriends and celebrities. Uber also straight up copied Lyft it wasn't the other way around and even worse Uber had a secret program called hell where they'd make fake Lyft accounts to track every Lyft driver in a city and see who was also an Uber driver and then they pay these drivers more than the people only driving for Uber. This is illegal and Lyft filed a class action. Uber also hired people for the sole purpose of ordering Lyft rides and canceling them last minute just to screw over Lyft drivers. Uber also gets away with paying drivers below minimum wage without benefits or overtime because they're independent contractors not employees. They also actively price discriminate. Uber uses AI algorithms to pay drivers less depending on the low prices they accepted in the past.
