Every time you make a video about Vancouver, somebody's going to comment about East Hastings Street. And if you're not familiar with Vancouver, East Hastings Street is where a lot of folks are struggling with addiction, mental health issues. It's the poorest district in the entire city. It can be compared to a place like Skid Row in Los Angeles or other major cities in North America. Um, but yeah, whenever people leave a comment like this, they think it's like funny or something to like use it as a detractor for Vancouver, British Columbia as a whole. And it's not funny at all. The people that live down there are really, really struggling. There are groups on Facebooks where like a mom will post an old picture of their kid and be like, I haven't seen my son in five years. Has and can somebody just comment if they've seen him down there? Or like kids posting their moms being like, has anybody seen my mom? We haven't seen her in like so many. Like that these are real human beings that live down there that are really, really struggling and really, really suffering. Yeah, it's off-putting and going downtown and seeing it firsthand is scary and off-putting. But it's not a joke. Like these are real human beings and I think comments like this lack emotional intelligence and empathy and I I just don't I think it's in poor taste and I don't think it's funny at all.
