THE MARYSVILLE PILCHUCK HIGH SCHOOL TRAGEDY

Things you didn't know about the Marysville Pilchuck High School tragedy. 1. The victims were friends with the shooter. Number one, the victims were actually friends with the shooter. On the morning of October 24th, 2014, 15-year-old Jaylen woke up and started crafting a text that he was going to send to his family group chat later. 2. He sent a text to his family minutes before the shooting... And the text was titled 'My funeral shit.' And it was pretty long, and we're going to get into it in just a minute. 3. He talks to a friend for 2 mins And a couple hours later at 10:25 AM, he sends a picture of a pistol between his legs to a friend on Facebook Messenger and says, 'Can you call me?' The friend calls him back within two minutes and then they talk for about two minutes. 4. Invites his friends to eat lunch together... He then texts a group of his friends that were at school that day saying to meet him in the cafeteria for lunch, and even skip class because it was a half day, but he wanted to meet up with them. So his friends agreed and they met up at the cafeteria and sat at a round table. But Jaylen wasn't there yet. He was texting his dad at 10:37 AM saying, 'I love you and please read the note on my bed which has never been recovered.' 5. He calmly shoots each friend in the head... Then right after that, he sends a text to the family group chat titled 'My funeral shit.' He then walks into the cafeteria and sits at the table with his friends. And about a minute later, he just randomly stands up, grabs the gun from his waistline and without saying anything and just a blank stare, slowly shoots each one of his friends in the head. He ended up shooting five of the seven students that were sitting there. Zoe was the only one that died immediately at the scene because she was shot in the forehead right above her eye. Gia and Shaylee, they were taken to the hospital with one gunshot wound to the head each and they said they were instantly unrecognizable. It was so bad, but she died three days later and a week later, she unfortunately passed away. And Andrew Fryberg, he was actually Jaylen's cousin. He got shot twice and died two weeks later. His other cousin Nate Hatch was shot in the jaw but survived and had many surgeries to fix his jaw. 6. The text gave instructions for his funeral... He sent that text to the family group chat and then within two minutes, gunshots were already ringing out and the first 911 call was made from the cafeteria. In the text, it talks about who his property goes to, what he wants where in his casket, and cringey things like this. 'I want my freshman team to play there fucking asses off next Wednesday!' as if they're going to care at all because he's obviously a horrible person. And then he goes on and asks his family to apologize to the family of his friends that he's going to kill. Saying that he didn't want to go alone and that he needed his ride or dies with him on the other side. And all of my other friends if they get caught in this shit tomorrow. (Zoe Galasso, Soriano, and Shaylee Chucklen, and I don't know. They're laying next to others.) And then he requested songs to play at my funeral. (Life style, U guessed it, hot nigga) And then obviously his family was like, 'Wtf is going on?!' 'I'm so scared.' 7. Motive may have been a girl denying him... Now, the interesting thing is, he wasn't like an outcast or someone that was bullied. He was actually really well-liked and was even homecoming prince. Now, according to some of his friends, this may have been motivated by a girl that he basically denying him that he really liked. 8. A teacher tried to stop him... After shooting his five friends in the face one by one, he went to reload his gun, but there was a social studies teacher right there named Megan. She came in and tried to stop him, but unfortunately, he was able to get one more round into his gun and he used that to take his own life. 9. He had a crush on Zoe who denied him... Jaylen, the shooter, he had a crush on Zoe who he shot in the forehead, and she died on the scene. His cousin Andrew was dating her. He shot him twice, suffering for two weeks before he died. 10. His ex had broken up with him days before... And his ex had broken up with him like, earlier. Was getting her. That's just so sad. Rest in peace to the victims.
