There was around 3 people watching and there was also a girl that was dating one of them that was on a video call via Signal. One person was watching on Discord. 2. Shooters were online friends. The shooters were 17-year-old Cain Clark and 18-year-old Caleb Vasquez. I think that's how he says his last name. 3. Cain's mom called police hours before. On the morning of May 16th, 2026, Cain's mom called the police at 9:42 AM saying that he was missing, his car was gone, there was a missing gun from the house, and that he left the house wearing camo. So the police followed this as a runaway juvenile incident. About an hour later, his mom calls the police back saying that she discovered that more guns were taken, she found a note basically saying that he wanted to take his own life. And she went on his computer and found out that he was in some dark stuff. So with this information, the police escalated the case. Then they used their license plate tracker to track down the BMW that he was driving that day. Within 4 minutes of them running his license plate, they got a hit within the Mission Valley area. But they weren't able to track them down in time. And then about 30 minutes later, they started getting calls that shots were fired at the Islamic Center of San Diego, which was the biggest mosque in San Diego. So when the two arrived, they started shooting at the security guard, but he actually got some shots back and then ended up hitting Cain, but he survived. Luckily, the security guard was able to make a call and tell them to go into lockdown because there were 140 students and teachers inside the mosque. But they ended up murdering the security guard and then they made their way to the mosque, but luckily they were in lockdown so they didn't see anyone at first. So they were running around room to room looking for people. And then all of a sudden, two guys like try to get their attention and bring them back out into the mosque. But unfortunately, they weren't able to get away. So the two ran and cornered them and murdered both of them. But those two guys probably saved the lives of many. 5. Did a drive by in a neighborhood. After that, they went and did a drive by in a neighborhood shooting at a landscaper. It was caught on a dash cam and a Ring camera. 6. Cain murdered the other shoot Caleb before taking his own life. Luckily, the landscaper survived with only minor injury. After that, they ended up parking about a half a mile away from the mosque. And then the driver, Cain, he took his pistol and then blasted him in the head twice and then took his own life. The police never had to fire a shot because they found them both dead in the BMW. 7. Left a 85 page manifesto. The two met online because they both connected over far right extremist ideas. And then they realized they both lived in San Diego. So they met up and they were definitely on the bad side of TCC and did a whole manifesto and all that. They ended up murdering these three people and RIP and rest in peace to them. And they also were the reason why so many lives were probably saved.
