Chicago suburbs Metra hopping Cocktail lounge edition

🚆 Come Chicago suburbs Metra hopping with us! I think a lot of the time the Chicago Metra gets overlooked by suburban residents who don't frequent the city. You don't have to get on the train to go downtown! You can use it as cheap transportation for a fun night out with friends or a date night. We went to 4 different Chicago suburbs and the train ticket was only $7.50 - hop on and off as much as we wanted. To plan this out, I first decided what the farthest destination of the day was. In this case, it was Elmhurst. We got on the UP-W Metra at the Wheaton stop and rode it all the way to Elmhurst. Then we slowly made our way back by stopping in Lombard, Glen Ellyn, and finally back to Wheaton. I thought about doing it the reverse by doing all the stops before Elmhurst and then riding all the way back to Wheaton at the end of the night, but I personally think this way was better.
