Calling my boss to tell her I quit and you're going to listen in on the conversation. Hey Rachel, this is Caroline calling. Yeah, what's up? I just wanted to let you know that I'm accepting a job offer elsewhere. It pays better, it's remote. Um, okay. This really kind of caught me off guard. I thought you mentioned you were really, really starting to like the team here. Yeah, I know, but it's a higher salary and remote work. I'm not going to turn that down. Okay, well, if I knew you were going to leave, I would have gone to talent and like, I don't know, try and increase your pay, give you some more work from home days. God, did you already sign? I did. Yeah, I did. Holy, okay, damn. Um, why didn't you tell me before you signed? Well, I asked you four months ago if I can get a raise and work from home three days a week, and you declined it. Okay, well, if you had another offer, I would have let you. Anyways, fuck. How much notice are you giving me? Today is my last day. Your last day? Okay, yeah, um, that's that's going to be a little tough for me. I hear you, but I have to put myself and my family first. I know, makes sense. But look, you don't you don't want to burn any bridges here, right? Any possibility you have maybe you giving a few extra days? Unfortunately, I cannot. How did you even find a remote job that fast? It's it's an employer's market. So, I just auto applied on Sprout and it personalizes my resume and applies to each job on my behalf. I would really consider treating your employees a little better, as with apps like this, it's going to turn into an employee market pretty soon. Okay, I treat all of my employees very well, thank you very much. Fuck, looks like you don't really care about this bridge too much anyways. You know what? I just I wish you all the best. I wish I could say the same.
