Hook

Their other posts in the index, biggest breakout first.
My publicist is my booker. I keep it all in-house. And we go out to people, to production studios, to, you know, PR firms, whatever, and we also have incoming. And so they're working that channel. Once a guest is booked, we'll find a date. We film for one week out of every month, and we'll do like five or six episodes. And then we release with a weekly cadence. We immediately send the name, the project, and the, um, I guess, requested release date to my writers. My writers begin the research process. It takes about two weeks. I have three writers, soon to be four. And they watch every interview they've ever done. They read every Wikipedia article, every fan article. Especially if, you know, we have someone that's part of a huge existing franchise. That's a lot. And you have to be, you have to have an intricate knowledge of that fan universe. So my writers are chronically online, um, the Meschke twins and my other writer, Mike. And they are very good at kind of finding the pulse of what's happening. And don't say this, you know, don't, and they'll put that in the thing. Don't mention this. And they love talking about this. Make sure to mention this. So I read through the research. They write all the questions as well. I go through, and I do a final pass where I'm like, that question won't land, you know, oh, they like this too. Okay, we'll really circle in on this. And then by the time the final script is done, the crew shows up the day of the shoot, about an hour early. We do a quick run through, make sure all the lighting cues are good. It's a crew of about 11 people. I have one green room, I have one bathroom in the studio and the guest comes in. They've got a beautiful selection of capes and hats, and my producer Karen greets them and tells them kind of what's going on, they get to the studio. I welcome them, we sit down, we do it, and then after that we take a thumbnail and they leave and it comes out probably a month later. So it's a very streamlined process and it's fun every step of the way.
